Explore the Latest Features of Sage CRM v2018
We saw the last release of Sage CRM v2018 (R2) back in April 2018. Now just a few months later, the third release (v2018 R3) is now available and brings some great new features, especially when it comes to the calendar and diary management.

Sage CRM Calendar Enhancements
Sage CRM v2018 R3 continues to build on what's probably the heart of the application - the calendar. The calendar has a number of enhancements to improve daily task management. First, the release allows for the creation of quick appointments for other users making collaborative working even easier. Both the appointment creator & the user to whom the calendar belongs are added to the User field of the appointment.

Further, all calendar items can now be shown as a list, allowing users to manage their schedule in a format that suits their working methods. This change also allows users to make the most of the screen space. You can now also sort, filter & refresh calendar lists.

Updates to Quick Find
The previous release offered more searchable elements & changed the way information was displayed and prioritised. Sage CRM 2018 R3 now offers even more capability, with the search extended to include Person and Company records and their postal address, email address, and phone number. The most relevant records are displayed at the top of search results.

Supported Character Sets
The new release has improved support for Unicode characters (including special characters and emojis) encoded with two, three, or four bytes in UTF-8. This deals with the increasing prevalence of graphical elements within messages, with the improvement allowing correct handling of these characters within email messages and filed by the Email Manager, Classic Outlook Plugin, or Lite Outlook Plugin.

Further enhancements to the MailChimp integration

The previous release placed marketing data on both the Person and Company Marketing tabs, detailing MailChimp email marketing campaigns where that record has been included and showing a count of emails opened and links clicked.

This release offers better overall control on open & closed campaigns, making it particularly convenient when you have a long list of campaigns or wish to move some old or unused campaigns away from current activities.

Other addressed issues
There are over 50 issues identified by customers that have been addressed in this release, including corrections to dashboard gadget behaviours, mail merging, the component manager and more.
